National Trust Awards Now Accepting Nominations

The Bermuda National Trust is now accepting nominations for its annual awards. These accolades celebrate individuals, organizations, and schools committed to preserving Bermuda’s rich heritage.
Categories of Nominations
There are several award categories open for nominations:
- Cultural Heritage Award: Recognizes efforts to advocate for cultural heritage, restore buildings, and raise awareness.
- Natural Heritage Award: Acknowledges individuals or groups that contribute to the preservation of Bermuda’s environment.
- Outstanding Young Environmentalist: Honors individuals under 26 who have significantly impacted Bermuda’s natural heritage over time.
- Heritage Education Award: Given to schools or clubs that promote projects related to cultural and natural heritage.
- Young Heritage Leadership Award: Celebrates young individuals who contribute to cultural heritage significantly.
Palmetto Award
The highest honor, the Palmetto Award, will also be presented. This award is given for outstanding service to the community and the trust’s mission.
Nomination Process
Nominating someone is simple. Forms can be downloaded from the Bermuda National Trust website or collected at their Waterville headquarters in Paget. Nominations are due by midnight on April 10.
Award Presentation Date
The award ceremony will take place on June 25, recognizing the contributions of these dedicated individuals and organizations.
