Expert Testimonies
Pathologist Turner noted that Noah had likely been dead for a significant period before being discovered. She indicated that the time of death was closer to when he went missing rather than later.
Turner expressed skepticism about the possibility of Noah floating within the tunnel, suggesting instead that he may have navigated down on his own.
In addition to Turner, Professor Jack Crane, the former State Pathologist for Northern Ireland, testified that Noah could have been disoriented, unsure of how to exit the drain. Forensic pathologist Nathanial Cary supported this view, emphasizing the challenging environment Noah faced.
No Evidence of Third-Party Involvement
All experts in the inquest concurred that there was no indication of third-party involvement in Noah’s death. This conclusion helps clarify the circumstances surrounding the case, providing some closure to an ongoing community inquiry.
The inquest shed light on the confusing and perilous conditions that contributed to Noah Donohoe’s tragic drowning, emphasizing the need for increased safety measures in similar areas.
