Mirjam von Rohr, Bjarni Leifs Triumph in 26.1 CrossFit Open

In the highly competitive realm of the 2026 CrossFit Open, the spotlight shone on Mirjam von Rohr and Bjarni Leifs as they emerged victorious in the opening workout, designated as 26.1. These athletes demonstrated exceptional skills, breaking records and setting themselves apart from the competition.

Remarkable Performances in 26.1 Workout

Mirjam von Rohr delivered an impressive performance, completing the workout with a time of 9:50. She became the only athlete, regardless of gender, to finish under the 10-minute mark for this segment. Interestingly, CrossFit did not impose penalties concerning a box jump that von Rohr executed during the session. She acknowledged this action, stating it occurred after her round of 40 wall balls. Even if she incurred a time penalty of 5 to 10 seconds, her performance would still have placed her at the top.

Trailing von Rohr by 44 seconds, Lucy Campbell secured the second position among women finishers. On the men’s side, Bjarni Leifs also made headlines, wrapping his workout in 10:59, solidifying his status as the fastest male athlete in the event.
