Rain or Snow Nationwide Until Tomorrow as Cold Winds Intensify

Cold weather is expected nationwide, with rain and snow continuing until tomorrow. The metropolitan area will experience precipitation early in the morning, while other regions are anticipated to dry up by the morning hours. However, later in the afternoon and into the evening, renewed rain and snow may occur, particularly in western regions.

The forecast indicates that rainfall will accumulate between 5 to 20mm across the country. In terms of snowfall, mountainous areas in Gangwon Province could see over 15cm, while other inland parts of Gangwon may receive up to 8cm. North-eastern Gyeonggi Province could also witness up to 7cm of snow. Other regions may accumulate between 1 to 5cm of snow.

  • Heavy snowfall warnings remain in effect for north-eastern Gyeonggi Province and inland Gangwon until tomorrow morning.

Wind and Temperature Conditions

Strong winds are expected to develop nationwide by the afternoon. After the rain and snow cease, cold air will infiltrate, preventing significant warming tomorrow. Forecast temperatures include:

  • Seoul: 6 degrees Celsius
  • Jeonju: 7 degrees Celsius
  • Incheon: 5 degrees Celsius
  • Gimpo: 5 degrees Celsius
  • Yeoncheon: 5 degrees Celsius
  • Gwangju (Gyeonggi East): 5 degrees Celsius
  • Hwaseong (Gyeonggi South): 4 degrees Celsius

The perceived temperature will feel 2 to 4 degrees lower than the actual readings. A notable drop in temperature is also expected for the weekend, particularly on Saturday morning.

Marine Conditions

Tomorrow, the sea will experience high waves, accompanied by strong winds. Caution is advised for maritime activities.
