Britbox Announces International EVP, Australian GM Moira Hogan’s Departure

Moira Hogan, the Executive Vice President of BritBox International and General Manager for Australia, is set to depart after five successful years. Her leadership marked significant milestones for the streaming service in Australia and beyond.
Achievements During Moira Hogan’s Tenure
Under Hogan’s guidance, BritBox launched in Australia in 2020. She oversaw the company’s financial performance and strategic growth initiatives. Notable accomplishments include:
- Establishing distribution agreements with major platforms such as Amazon, Apple, and Foxtel.
- Leading a major service relaunch earlier this year.
Hogan’s role expanded after the formation of BritBox International, which included overseeing territories like the Nordics and South Africa. Her contributions significantly bolstered the brand’s presence internationally.
Reflections on Her Departure
In a statement, Hogan expressed pride in her achievements with the BritBox team. She explained that recent industry shifts towards domestic focuses prompted her decision to explore new challenges that resonate with her background in international business leadership.
“When I started, I needed to quickly close key platform deals before launch,” Hogan stated. “Since then, we’ve grown the team, established meaningful partnerships, and significantly increased revenue.”
Despite the difficulty of leaving, Hogan believes her departure is a natural progression. She stated, “I’m leaving behind a strong, resilient team that will continue to thrive and grow.” Hogan emphasized her affection for the company, promising to remain its biggest supporter.
Support from Leadership
Robert Schildhouse, President of BritBox North America and International GM, praised Hogan’s contributions. He acknowledged her exceptional results both locally and globally, highlighting her ability to operate autonomously while fostering collaboration.
“Moira has taken bold risks that drove revenue growth and showed commitment to building a culture where everyone can do their best work,” he remarked. Schildhouse expressed heartfelt wishes for her future endeavors.
