The Pittsburgh Penguins have finalized a trade, acquiring defenseman Ilya Solovyov from the Colorado Avalanche. They sent Valtteri Puustinen along with a seventh-round draft pick in 2026 to complete the deal. The announcement came from Kyle Dubas, the President of Hockey Operations and General Manager.

Ilya Solovyov, 25, signed a contract that extends through the 2025-26 season, with an average annual salary of $775,000. This season, he has divided his time between the Avalanche and their AHL affiliate, the Colorado Eagles.
