William Li, Nio’s founder and CEO, expressed gratitude to employees for their support in a recent internal letter.

Nio’s Impressive Growth in Vehicle Deliveries

The company reported record deliveries in December, reaching 48,135 vehicles. This brought Nio’s total deliveries for 2025 to 326,028 units, representing a 46.88% increase compared to the previous year.

Future Projections and Expansion Plans

Looking ahead, Li forecasts that by 2030, the penetration rate of new energy vehicles (NEV) in China will exceed 90%. Battery electric vehicles (BEVs) are expected to account for over 80% of NEVs sold.

Data indicates that BEVs made up 61.9% of China’s NEV sales in the first 11 months of 2025, outpacing extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs).

Investment in Infrastructure

Nio plans significant investments in infrastructure to support its growth. The company aims to launch its fifth-generation battery swap stations in the second quarter of 2026, with a target of installing over 1,000 new stations by the end of that year. This would bring the total number of battery swap stations to more than 4,600.

Global Expansion Strategy

As part of its international growth strategy, Nio will establish its pioneering brand, Firefly. The goal is to expand its presence to 40 countries and regions by 2026, further enhancing its global reach.

Stock Performance

Nio’s stock has experienced a notable increase of 26% this year, reflecting positive market sentiment amid its growth trajectory and milestone achievements.

With a commitment to user-centric service and innovation, Nio Inc. looks poised to continue its leadership in the electric vehicle market.
