Although he managed to leave the ice under his own power, he later headed to the Maple Leafs’ locker room for evaluation.

The 29-year-old forward had a notable performance prior to his injury, scoring one goal in 8:25 of ice time during the game. This season, Nylander has recorded 14 goals and accumulated 41 points in 33 games.
Notably, he had experienced an 11-game goal drought before scoring two goals in the Maple Leafs’ last game prior to the holiday break.
