15th Victim Identified in Louisville UPS Plane Crash

A tragic incident unfolded in Louisville on November 4, 2025, when UPS Flight 2976 crashed shortly after takeoff. This disaster has now claimed its 15th victim, Alain Rodriguez Colina, who succumbed to injuries sustained during the accident.

The devastating crash occurred around 5:15 p.m. as the McDonnell Douglas MD-11 was departing from the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport. The plane was en route to Honolulu, fully loaded with fuel for the nine-hour flight. It is reported that the left wing of the aircraft caught fire shortly before the incident.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has indicated that the left engine detached during takeoff due to “fatigue cracks” found in the securing part. The plane only managed to climb 30 feet before it crashed, impacting several businesses south of the airport and resulting in a fireball.
