CNBC Unveils New Logo, Merging Tradition with Future Vision

CNBC is embarking on a significant rebranding journey, with a new logo set to debut on Saturday, December 13, 2025. This move marks the end of the iconic NBC peacock emblem, in use for nearly 30 years.
Unveiling the New CNBC Logo
The new logo was first revealed during the inaugural Versant Investor Day on December 4, 2025. KC Sullivan, the president of CNBC, highlighted the importance of this change. He noted, “It’s a symbol of the direction where we’re headed and the exciting new chapter we’re stepping into.”
Design Elements of the New Logo
The redesigned logo pays homage to CNBC’s financial expertise while referencing its original logo from 1989. Here are some notable features:
- The new design includes an upward arrow, symbolizing market growth and prosperity.
- The letter “N” connects the past to the present, providing space for the new logo icon.
- The color palette has shifted towards a blue hue that aligns with the 2023 redesign.
- The typography has transitioned from the proprietary NBC Tinker font to Gotham, enhancing modernity.
Changes to On-Air Branding
Alongside the logo change, CNBC’s on-air presentations will undergo updates. This includes modifying show opens that feature the former NBC peacock logo and animations. The network’s studios will also be redesigned to eliminate abstract hints of the peacock.
Promotional Campaign
In preparation for the rebrand, CNBC will release a promotional spot starting December 5, showcasing the network’s historical logos. This campaign emphasizes the full acronym, “Consumer News and Business Channel,” clarifying that CNBC’s identity extends beyond NBC.
As CNBC transitions into this new chapter, it aims to strengthen its global brand presence while reflecting a future-oriented vision.
