Carreras, Carvajal, and Endrick Receive Two-Match Bans
Real Madrid has received updates regarding recent suspensions following their match against Celta Vigo. The penalties were issued by the Competition Committee after multiple player expulsions on Saturday.
Suspensions Issued to Key Players
Álvaro Carreras received the heaviest penalty, facing a two-match ban. This suspension means he will not participate in the upcoming matches against Alavés and Sevilla. Carreras’ suspension is due to inappropriate comments directed at referee Quintero González, specifically calling him “malísimo,” which led to a second yellow card.
Fran García, who also saw a red card during the match, will serve a one-match suspension. His case was deemed less severe, as the referee’s report only noted two yellow cards arising from normal gameplay.
Endrick and Carvajal Also Penalized
Both Endrick and Dani Carvajal were similarly banned for two matches. Endrick’s penalty stems from his outburst directed at the referee, where he reportedly exclaimed, “the level you give and then you cry,” in addition to needing to be restrained on the bench.
Carvajal, currently recovering from an injury, will miss the same two games but was expected to be sidelined regardless. His remarks to the referee, recorded in the match report, resulted in a suspension under the same article as Carreras.
Summary of Player Suspensions
| Player | Matches Suspended | Reason for Suspension |
|---|---|---|
| Álvaro Carreras | 2 | Inappropriate remarks to the referee |
| Fran García | 1 | Two yellow cards during gameplay |
| Endrick | 2 | Outburst directed at the referee |
| Dani Carvajal | 2 | Remarks to the referee |
Real Madrid will need to adapt to these suspensions as they navigate their upcoming matches. The team’s roster depth will be tested as they aim to maintain competitive performance in La Liga.
