‘Super Troopers 3’ Targets Late Summer 2026 Release with Broken Lizard Comedy

Fans of the cult classic comedy franchise will be excited to hear that “Super Troopers 3” is slated for release on August 7, 2026. The film will open against Universal’s “One Night Only,” directed by Will Gluck, and an untitled project from New Line Cinema.

Returning Cast and Crew

Jay Chandrasekhar will direct “Super Troopers 3,” returning to his role as Thorny while reuniting with the original cast members. Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter, and Erik Stolhanske will reprise their iconic roles of Farva, Mac, Foster, and Rabbit, respectively.

The original “Super Troopers” debuted in 2001, having been acquired at the Sundance Film Festival. It won the Audience Award at the South by Southwest Film Festival, quickly becoming a beloved comedy. The sequel followed in 2018, continuing the adventures of the lovable Vermont State Troopers.

Both “Super Troopers” movies have performed well at the box office, grossing a combined total of $55 million worldwide. Remarkably, the total production costs for both films were under $15 million, before marketing and distribution.
