LA Auto Show 2025 Reveals Cutting-Edge Vehicles for 2026 and Beyond

The LA Auto Show has officially commenced, providing a platform for the automotive industry to unveil the latest innovations for 2026 and beyond. Major brands have introduced various models, highlighting advancements in design, technology, and sustainability.
Kia’s New Generation Telluride
Kia opened the show with the debut of the redesigned Telluride SUV. This new generation features enhanced practicality, including a roomier interior and improved ride quality. Tom Kearns, Kia’s senior chief designer, emphasized the vehicle’s focus on comfort and accessibility.
Hyundai’s Crater Concept
Hyundai showcased the Crater Concept, a rugged vehicle that hints at the future of their XRT off-road sub-brand. Kellen Gustine, the designer behind the concept, expressed the company’s commitment to pushing boundaries in vehicle segments. Jeep’s All-Electric Recon
Jeep introduced the Recon, an all-electric off-roader set to launch in early 2025. The vehicle offers four-wheel drive, open-air capabilities, and aims to cater to the environmentally-conscious Californian market. Aamir Ahmed, who oversees Jeep’s off-road and electric models, indicated high sales expectations for the Recon in this key market.
Nissan’s Latest Offerings
Nissan brought two new vehicles to the show: a plug-in hybrid version of the Rogue and a refreshed Pathfinder. Zach Jeppesen, a product planning manager, noted the historical significance of the Pathfinder, having debuted its new generation in 1996.
A Vintage VW Bus Restoration
Among the new vehicles, a vintage 1977 Volkswagen Bus, known as “Azul,” captured attention. This bus, which gained notoriety after being damaged in the Palisades Fire, was fully restored by Volkswagen of America and will be on display next to the modern electric ID.Buzz. Owner Megan Weinraub expressed joy at the restoration, emphasizing its sentimental value.
