Fiji Teams Compete in MSG Semi-Finals Today

The semi-finals of the MSG Prime Ministers Cup are set to take place today, featuring intense matchups in both women’s and men’s competitions. Following yesterday’s postponements, the matches have been rescheduled, ensuring optimal player welfare.

Women’s Semi-Final Matches

The women’s semi-finals will kick off with Papua New Guinea (PNG) facing the Solomon Islands at 11:45 AM. This change was made to allow the Solomon Islands team sufficient rest time, as they would have had less than 24 hours between games, a concern under FIFA regulations.

Later in the day, Fiji will compete against Vanuatu at 3 PM. This scheduling ensures that the players meet the recommended recovery periods before their respective matches.

Men’s Semi-Final Matches

The men’s semi-finals will be held in the evening. Fiji will challenge the host nation, PNG, at 6 PM. Following this, Vanuatu will face off against the Solomon Islands at 8:45 PM. This exciting lineup is expected to attract a large audience.
