Maple Leafs Move D Carlo to IR, Recall Quillan

The Toronto Maple Leafs have announced that defenceman Brandon Carlo has been placed on the injured reserve list. This decision is retroactive to November 13, which means he will miss the upcoming game against the St. Louis Blues.

Details on Brandon Carlo’s Injury

Carlo did not participate in Saturday’s match in Chicago due to a lower-body injury. Initially, he was considered day-to-day. He logged 19 minutes and 44 seconds of ice time during Thursday’s overtime loss to the Los Angeles Kings.

Carlo’s Performance this Season

This season marks Carlo’s first full campaign with the Maple Leafs after joining from the Boston Bruins at the trade deadline. So far, he has contributed two assists in 18 games.

Jacob Quillan Recalled

To fill the gap left by Carlo, the Maple Leafs have recalled forward Jacob Quillan from the AHL’s Toronto Marlies. Quillan, 23, has shown impressive form, scoring two goals and providing 12 assists, totaling 14 points in 14 games this season.

Current Team Standing

The Maple Leafs are currently facing challenges, having lost five consecutive games, including overtime. As of Monday, they sit second-last in the Atlantic Division with 18 points from 19 games.

  • Brandon Carlo: Placed on IR as of November 13.
  • Jacob Quillan: Recalled from Toronto Marlies; has 14 points in AHL this season.
