Her achievement included a remarkable 44 points and a record-breaking 16 steals, cementing her status as a star player in NCAA history.

This outing marked the highest point total ever recorded in a single game for Notre Dame. Hidalgo’s 16 steals not only shattered her previous program record but also set a new NCAA single-game record. Prior to this, the highest number of steals recorded in a game since the statistic gained official status in the 1987-88 season was 14, a feat accomplished by several players, including Jillian Ingram from Georgia Tech in 2008.
