Bay Bridge Run Canceled Amid Forecasted Severe Weather

The Bay Bridge Run has been officially canceled due to forecasted severe weather. The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) made this announcement on Saturday, emphasizing the importance of safety for all involved.

Event Details

The Bay Bridge Run was set to take place on Sunday, November 9, 2025. However, with inclement weather anticipated, officials decided to cancel the much-anticipated event. Both spans of the bridge will now remain open for standard vehicular traffic.

Official Statement

In a message posted on the Bay Bridge Run website, organizers expressed deep regret over the cancellation. They stated, “We regret to inform you due to the forecast and a higher than acceptable chance of inclement weather, the Bay Bridge Run has been canceled and will not take place as scheduled.” Notably, the event will not be rescheduled.

Safety Measures

In line with the MDTA’s protocols, two-way traffic operations on the Bay Bridge’s westbound span are not implemented during severe weather conditions. Consequently, the eastbound span cannot be closed for event purposes.
