Xolo Maridueña Cast as Portgas D. Ace in ‘One Piece’ Season 3

Netflix has officially announced that Xolo Maridueña will portray Portgas D. Ace in the upcoming third season of One Piece. This news follows speculation surrounding the casting of the beloved character from the series.
Xolo Maridueña Joins One Piece Cast
Alongside Maridueña, Cole Escola has been cast as Bon Clay. Production for Season 3 is set to commence later this year in Cape Town, South Africa.
About Portgas D. Ace
- Character Background: Portgas D. Ace is the adopted brother of Monkey D. Luffy and the son of the renowned Pirate King, Gol D. Roger.
- Affiliations: Ace was a member of the Whitebeard Pirates and previously served as the captain of the Spade Pirates.
- Significant Events: Ace lost his life during the Battle of Marineford, sacrificing himself to save Luffy.

Netflix’s One Piece received an early renewal for Season 3 in August 2023, ahead of the long-anticipated launch of Season 2, titled One Piece: Into the Grand Line, which is scheduled for release on March 10, 2026.

Ian Stokes and Joe Tracz are onboard as co-showrunners, writers, and executive producers for the new season. Additionally, prominent figures such as Oda, Marty Adelstein, and Becky Clements of Tomorrow Studios will serve as executive producers, alongside Tetsu Fujimura, Chris Symes, Christoph Schrewe, and Steven Maeda.
