Key Honors and Recognitions

Bob Carter, MD, PhD, has been inducted into the National Academy of Medicine. This honor is one of the highest in health and medicine, recognizing exceptional professional service.

Carter joins a group of eight esteemed researchers from the University of Utah who have also been elected to the academy.

Leadership in Health Sciences

Gina Hawley, DrPH, was named to Becker’s Healthcare list of COOs to Know in 2025. As the chief operating officer for U of U Health Hospitals & Clinics, she is recognized for aligning care delivery with the mission of advancing medicine.
