NFL Insider Reveals New Trade Update for Dolphins

This season has been challenging for the Miami Dolphins and their supporters. Despite a recent victory over the Atlanta Falcons, the team’s 2-6 record reflects deep struggles, indicating a likely absence from the playoffs. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa’s performance has declined, highlighted by his league-leading ten interceptions. Additionally, the Dolphins are missing their star wide receiver, Tyreek Hill, who has been sidelined for the last four games.

NFL Trade Rumors Surrounding the Dolphins

As the NFL’s trade deadline approaches on November 4, 2023, speculation is growing that the Dolphins may pursue trades to reconfigure their roster. ESPN’s senior NFL insider, Adam Schefter, suggested that key players Jaelan Phillips or Bradley Chubb may be on the move. “I think the Dolphins will move at least one of their pass rushers, Jaelan Phillips or Bradley Chubb,” Schefter stated.

Performance of Key Players

  • Jaelan Phillips: This season, Phillips has recorded two sacks and six quarterback hits across eight games. After recovering from a torn Achilles, he has shown resilience.
  • Bradley Chubb: A Pro Bowl player in 2021 and 2022, Chubb is 29 years old and has contributed four sacks, seven quarterback hits, and five tackles for loss this season. He is returning to form after missing the previous year due to a torn ACL.

Though both pass rushers have performed relatively well, the Dolphins’ overall defense remains a concern. They currently rank 26th in points allowed, struggling especially in run defense. The recent game against Atlanta marked the first instance this season when they held an opponent to under 100 rushing yards.

Upcoming Challenges for the Dolphins

The Dolphins are set to face tough opponents in the coming weeks. They will host the Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, and Washington Commanders. This challenging schedule could further impact their standing before their bye week in Week 12.

As rumors circulate regarding possible trades, the Dolphins seek to improve their fortunes both on the field and within their roster. Fans will be watching closely as the trade deadline nears and as the team prepares for crucial games ahead.
