The electric blankets are prioritized for vulnerable groups, including the elderly and those with health issues that could worsen in cold weather. Interested applicants must provide financial details via an online Paylink budget form to assess eligibility.

OVO Energy’s Support Plan

Since 2022, OVO has allocated £190 million in support, benefiting around 42,000 customers last year. A recent survey from OVO indicated that 91% of customers express concern over winter energy expenses.

Research indicates that electric blanket users can reduce their winter heating bills by as much as 20%. For optimal use, experts recommend:

- Switching to a medium setting afterward
- Keeping the blanket connector clear from covers
