Bears’ DJ Moore Receives Positive Update Following Groin Injury Hospitalization

Chicago Bears wide receiver DJ Moore has received encouraging news following his hospitalization due to a groin injury. After the team’s narrow 25-24 win over the Washington Commanders on Monday night, head coach Ben Johnson provided an update on the situation.

Positive Update on DJ Moore’s Condition

On Tuesday, Johnson informed ESPN Chicago that Moore had undergone a precautionary medical evaluation but is expected to be released from the hospital later that day. “We got some good news on that regard,” he stated. The coach added that Moore will likely be day-to-day moving forward.

Performance in the Game

  • Moore played the entire game against the Commanders.
  • He was on the field for 93.8% of the Bears’ offensive snaps.
  • The 28-year-old recorded 42 yards on three receptions and rushed for 10 yards on two attempts.
  • His catches occurred during Chicago’s opening drive.
  • Moore briefly left the field due to a hard landing on his left hip but returned without limitations.

Team Performance and Upcoming Challenges

Since starting the season 0-2, the Bears have rallied to win three straight games. Their victory over Washington came thanks to a last-second 38-yard field goal from Jake Moody after a crucial turnover.

Although DJ Moore has yet to hit his stride this season, with a total of 215 yards and one touchdown on 19 receptions, he remains a key player, ranking second on the team in both receiving yards and catches.

The Bears will face a challenging matchup against the New Orleans Saints at Soldier Field this upcoming Sunday, with a short week to prepare for the game.
