Kiss Frontman Gene Simmons Hospitalized Following Car Crash

Gene Simmons, the iconic frontman of Kiss, was briefly hospitalized after a car accident on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu on Tuesday afternoon. Reports from NBC 4 Los Angeles indicate that Simmons experienced a fainting episode behind the wheel, leading to his vehicle veering into several lanes of traffic before colliding with a parked car.

Incident Details

Simmons’ wife, Shannon Tweed, informed the media that her husband is now recuperating at home. She mentioned that his doctors made recent adjustments to his medication. Additionally, dehydration played a role in the incident, as Tweed confirmed that Simmons has been advised to increase his water intake, even though he prefers not to.

Update from Simmons

In a voicemail to NBC 4, Simmons reassured fans of his well-being. He described the incident as a minor “fender bender,” humorously acknowledging his driving skills. On Wednesday, he shared a message on X (formerly Twitter), expressing gratitude for the support he received: “Thanks, everybody, for the kind wishes. I’m completely fine. All is well.”

Looking ahead, Kiss is set to reunite onstage for the first time since their farewell tour in December 2023. The band will perform at the Kiss Kruise: Land Locked event in Las Vegas from November 14-16. This event will feature both electric and acoustic sets.
