In a tragic incident that unfolded early Wednesday morning, a stabbing led to a homicide in Las Vegas. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police (LVMPD) quickly arrested a suspect following the fatal event.

Details of the Stabbing Incident

The altercation took place in a residential area just east of the Las Vegas Strip. Around 3:30 AM on May 20, 2026, multiple emergency calls reported a loud argument in the courtyard of an apartment complex located on Cambridge Street.

Upon arrival, officers found a 28-year-old man with severe stab wounds. Unfortunately, despite the immediate medical assistance provided, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Suspect Arrested

Authorities acted swiftly following the incident. Witness statements and physical evidence led detectives to identify the suspect, 23-year-old Eder Castrejon. He was located and arrested late on May 21, just hours after the stabbing.

Investigators concluded that during the confrontation, Castrejon used a knife to stab the victim multiple times. He has been charged with open murder and is currently held without bail at the Clark County Detention Center.
