City officials have announced an exciting initiative for concert attendees this summer. Concert-goers at Rogers Stadium will enjoy free subway rides home after attending shows. This program is available at select stations on Line 1 and is aimed at enhancing access for fans attending various events.
Free Subway Service Details
The initiative was revealed by Mayor Olivia Chow during a press conference. It will be in effect for a series of concerts, beginning with Bruno Mars performances this coming weekend. Concert attendees can benefit from this service if they present their concert ticket to Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) staff.
Program Highlights
- Free rides on Line 1 after concerts at Rogers Stadium.
- Available 30 minutes before each show ends.
- Participating stations include Shepherd West, Downsview Park, and Wilson Station.
- Additional subway services will be provided to accommodate increased demand.

“Using transit is the fastest and most affordable option for getting home,” said Mayor Chow. “The more concert-goers choose this option, the less traffic congestion we will experience.”
