Moscow Reveals European Firms Supplying Drones to Ukraine

The Russian Defense Ministry has released a list identifying several European manufacturers believed to be supplying drones for Ukraine. This announcement marks a significant escalation in rhetoric from Russia regarding Western involvement in the Ukraine conflict.
Moscow’s Claims Over European Drone Suppliers
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, this collaboration between European firms and Ukraine could deepen the military conflict and potentially engage these nations more directly in the ongoing war. The ministry labeled this partnership as a deliberate move towards heightened tension across the European continent.
In a recent statement, the ministry warned that increased drone attacks on Russian territory could result in severe and unpredictable consequences. They acknowledged that certain European nations have decided to ramp up the production and supply of drones to Ukraine, facilitating strikes against Russia.
List of Alleged Drone Manufacturers
The published list includes:
- 11 Ukrainian-associated firms mentioned for producing drones, with locations in:
- United Kingdom
- Denmark
- Germany
- Latvia
- 10 foreign enterprises purportedly producing UAVs and their components, specifically in:

- Italy
Potential Military Targets
Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, has pointed out that this information should be viewed as a compilation of potential military targets for the Russian Armed Forces. He emphasized that the identification of these production facilities indicates legitimate targets for military action should hostilities escalate further.
European Support for Ukraine
Since the onset of Russia’s extensive military invasion of Ukraine, European countries have provided significant financial and military help to Ukraine. This support includes various weapons systems and ammunition.
Recently, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed agreements with Germany and Norway aimed at jointly producing drones. Furthermore, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni expressed her country’s willingness to collaborate in drone production, emphasizing that supporting Ukraine aligns with Europe’s strategic interests.
“Support for Ukraine is not just a moral obligation; it is crucial for the security of Europe,” Meloni stated following her discussions with Zelensky in Rome.
