A newborn was discovered abandoned on a doorstep in Longueuil late Sunday night. The incident occurred on Bourgeoys Street in the Vieux-Longueuil borough.

According to the Longueuil Agglomeration Police Service (SPAL), an individual rang the doorbell of a private residence around 11 PM before fleeing the scene. The occupants of the home found the baby boy, who was born after a gestation period of 34 weeks.
