Who Benefits from Early Pension Payments?
The advance payment applies to the following groups:
- Retirees from the general scheme (CNAV) and those from Carsat outside Alsace-Moselle, totaling over 15 million.
- Retirees from the Mutualité sociale agricole (MSA), numbering just under three million.
However, certain retirees, particularly those from other schemes such as public service, will not qualify for this advance payment as their schedules differ.
When Will the Payments Be Made?
Typically, pensions are paid on the 9th of the month following the due date. For April pensions, this means they were originally scheduled for payment on May 9. However, since May 9 falls on a Saturday, the payment will be processed early.
Updated Payment Date
The pension for April will now be deposited on May 7, 2026, two days ahead of the usual schedule. This applies equally to those affiliated with the Mutualité sociale agricole (MSA).
It’s important to note that the appearance of funds in bank accounts may vary based on individual bank processing times.
Upcoming Delays for Agirc-Arrco Retirees
While April brings good news, retirees under the Agirc-Arrco scheme will experience delays in May. Due to the holiday on May 1, their pensions will not be paid until May 4, 2026. This could impact their cash flow and financial planning.
In June, all pension payments are expected to resume according to their regular schedules.
