Police Respond to Morning Threats at Toronto High Schools

On Monday morning, Toronto police addressed threats at two high schools, leading to significant security measures. These incidents occurred at Marc Garneau Collegiate Institute in North York and Winston Churchill Collegiate Institute in Scarborough.
Incident at Marc Garneau Collegiate Institute
The first threat was reported shortly after 8 a.m. at Marc Garneau Collegiate, located near Don Mills Road and Overlea Boulevard. Authorities took swift action, evacuating the school around 8:11 a.m. as officers conducted a thorough inspection of the premises.

Threat at Winston Churchill Collegiate Institute
Shortly before 10 a.m., a second threat emerged at Winston Churchill Collegiate Institute, situated at Lawrence Avenue and Kennedy Road. This prompted a hold-and-secure protocol as officers responded to the situation.
- The police are currently on-site, performing a search of the building.
- No injuries have been reported in this incident either.
