The former owner of Bury Football Club, Steven Dale, along with his son Christian, is facing serious fraud charges. Both appeared in court following a thorough investigation by the Insolvency Service.
Fraud Charges Details
Steven Dale, aged 70, is accused of committing fraud by false representation. This allegation pertains to a Bounce Back Loan of £50,000 for Bury FC Heritage Ltd, which was applied for in February 2021. Furthermore, he faces charges for not maintaining adequate accounting records, as required under the Companies Act 2006 and the Insolvency Act 1986. This is in relation to two entities: The Bury Football Club Company Limited and Dale Acquisitions Ltd.
His son, Christian Dale, 41, has been charged similarly. Both individuals are charged under the same legislation related to Dale Acquisitions Ltd.
