Foster Father Charged with Sexual Crimes

Jean-Marie Gingras, a 72-year-old resident of Donnacona, has been formally charged with numerous sexual crimes at the Quebec City courthouse. The allegations include sexual touching, unlawful confinement, sexual solicitation, and harassment. These acts reportedly took place between 1996 and 1999 in Pont-Rouge and Quebec.

Details of the Allegations

Currently, two alleged victims have been identified in this case. Both were young girls, approximately ten years old, who were placed under Gingras’s care through the Directorate of Youth Protection (DPJ).

Ongoing Investigations

Current Status of the Accused

  • Jean-Marie Gingras remains free during the legal proceedings.
  • He is subject to strict conditions regarding contact with the alleged victims.
  • Gingras has retained attorney Me Benoît Labrecque for his defense.
