After posting a solid 4-under 67 in the previous round, he stated, “Barring anything crazy on the back nine, I shouldn’t be out of the tournament.” He believes that overcoming the deficit is feasible if he can perform well early in the round.

Hideki Matsuyama, a two-time champion at TPC Scottsdale, shot a steady 3-under 68 on Saturday. Scheffler acknowledges that Matsuyama is not untouchable, emphasizing that he has the skills to mount a comeback.
