Shooting Near Historic Treme Restaurant Leaves One Dead, Two Injured

On Friday evening, a shooting near Dooky Chase Restaurant in New Orleans left one person dead and two others injured. Authorities responded to the incident around 8:01 p.m. in the 2300 block of Orleans Avenue.
Shooting Details
New Orleans police are treating this incident as a homicide. Four individuals were shot in total, including:
- Two women
- One man
- One unidentified victim
One of the injured individuals died on-site. Reports indicate that the victims were inside the restaurant when a gunman entered and opened fire.
Victims and Medical Response
Among the injured, one victim is a tourist visiting from out of state. A law enforcement source confirmed that one victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds, while another was shot in the back. Both injured individuals are currently receiving treatment at University Medical Center (UMC).
