Fox Host Tyrus Criticizes ‘Professional Protesters’ Targeting ICE as Manufactured

Fox News Radio’s Tyrus hosted a discussion with Daily Signal President Rob Bluey. They focused on Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth’s ongoing reforms at the Pentagon and the protests against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) across the United States.
Hegseth’s Pentagon Reforms
Rob Bluey accompanied Pete Hegseth during his recent “Arsenal of Freedom” tour in Texas. Bluey described Hegseth’s discontent with the Pentagon’s bureaucracy. He emphasized Hegseth’s desire for accountability from the defense contractors involved in military operations.
The tour featured four significant stops in Texas:
- Visiting wounded veterans in San Antonio
- Touring the Lockheed Martin F-35 plant in Fort Worth
- Conducting an enlistment ceremony
- Concluding at SpaceX’s Starbase facility
Bluey noted that Hegseth is reversing troubling trends in military recruitment. More Americans are now eager to enlist, a positive sign for military readiness.
ICE Protests and Professional Protests
The discussion shifted to the opposition against ICE. Bluey pointed out the rising dangers faced by ICE officers, citing attacks and threats directed towards them and their families.
Tyrus expressed skepticism regarding the authenticity of protests against ICE. He described these demonstrations as “manufactured,” lacking genuine grassroots support. He criticized the behavior of certain protestors, urging Americans to differentiate between legitimate expression and acts of violence.
“Protesting should be non-violent,” he stated. “Crossing the line into aggression makes one a domestic terrorist.” Tyrus also highlighted the selective nature of activism, questioning the lack of protests concerning significant global issues, such as the situation in Iran.
Critique of Sanctuary City Policies
Bluey further criticized Democrat mayors in sanctuary cities. He urged the public to recognize their opposition to federal immigration policies. He condemned these leaders for deepening divisions instead of fostering unity in addressing immigration issues.
The interview also touched on President Donald Trump’s proposed $1.5 trillion defense budget. Additionally, it highlighted Hegseth’s directive to hold underperforming contractors accountable within the Pentagon.
