Malik Owolabi-Belewu Signs from Forge FC
In tandem with Ladapo’s recruitment, Chesterfield has signed defender Malik Owolabi-Belewu, a 23-year-old who previously played for Forge FC in Canada. The signing was initially agreed upon last summer. Owolabi-Belewu joined Forge in 2022 after his stint with Italian club SPAL.
Owolabi-Belewu commented on his journey in Canada, saying, “There’s a lot of upcoming talent which you’re starting to see with their national team. It was very good for me to go there and develop.” He has set his sights on promotion with Chesterfield, expressing his determination to contribute to the team’s success.
