In Memory of Jamie Adele (Huffman) Martin

Mrs. Jamie Adele Huffman Martin, aged 66, passed away on December 15, 2025, in Wilkesboro. She spent her final days at Ridge Valley Center. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for December 21, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of North Wilkesboro. Dr. Bert Young and Dr. N. Nelson Grande, Jr. will officiate the service.

The family invites friends to join them in Wayland Hall at the church following the service from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Biography of Jamie Adele Huffman Martin

Jamie was born on November 28, 1959, in Wilkes County to James Monroe and Shirley McNeil Huffman. She dedicated 32 years of her life to teaching in Wilkes County Schools.

Her legacy continues through her husband, Edwin “Ed” Hugh Martin, Jr., and their children: daughter Brittany Meredith Martin from Boomer and son Edwin “Trey” Hugh Martin, III, whom she shared with Shelby. Jamie also cherished being a grandmother to Aven Sienna Eller and Aurora “Rory” Lynn Martin.

Family and Legacy

Jamie was preceded in death by her brothers-in-law Jeff Halsch and Wes Martin, as well as her nephew Tim Halsch and niece Melissa Halsch. She is survived by an extensive family network, including:

  • Brothers: Hollis Huffman (Roaring River) and Brian Huffman (Carol, Millers Creek)
  • Mother and father-in-law: Peggy Martin Halsch and Garrin Halsch (Wilkesboro)
  • Sisters-in-law: Tracy Halsch (Katrina) and Jeri Waddell Martin
  • Brother-in-law: Paul Halsch (Juli)
  • Nephews: Benjamin Huffman, Caleb Huffman, Caleb Hawkins (Laurence), Andrew Halsch, and Eric Halsch
  • Nieces: Rachel Minick (Ryan), Jennifer Moghadassi, Emma Logsdon (Ryan), Megan and Elise Halsch
  • Five grandnieces and grandnephews

Memorial Contributions

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church of North Wilkesboro at P.O. Box 458, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659.
