Alex Scott Criticizes ITV for Unbroadcasted Content in I’m A Celebrity

Former footballer Alex Scott has publicly criticized ITV for not showcasing her experiences during the latest season of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! The first contestant to be eliminated from the show, Scott expressed her disappointment over the editing choices that left out significant moments from her time in the Australian jungle.

Alex Scott’s Elimination and Aftermath

Last week, Scott became the first contestant voted off after a live trial against EastEnders’ Shona McGarty. The voting included six contestants, among them Ozzy Osbourne’s son Jack Osbourne, musician Martin Kemp, streamer Angry Ginge, rapper Aitch, Kelly Brook, and comedian Ruby Wax.

Her departure followed a controversial incident where she was seen adding extra flavor to dishes prepared by Jack. This act of contraband violated the show’s strict rules, leading to a star being stripped from the camp, which had been won by Aitch during another Bushtucker Trial.

Critical Reflections on Show Editing

Appearing on ITV’s Lorraine program, Scott discussed her insights on the show’s editing. She stated that viewers missed out on the fun aspects of her participation. “I wanted them to see the more fun Alex Scott that they didn’t see,” she noted, emphasizing her role as the “Games Master” among the contestants.

Scott highlighted that the show’s one-hour format limits what can be aired, lamenting that the enjoyable moments were not included. She predicted that Aitch and Angry Ginge would likely finish at the top, given their extensive airtime, stating, “Ginge and Aitch have had all the airtime and everyone has seen them.”

Personal Life Amidst Reality TV

Outside of the competition, Scott has been in a relationship with pop star Jess Glynne for two years. Unfortunately, Glynne was unable to join Scott in Australia due to a family emergency involving her mother’s serious health issues.

Scott described the situation, stating, “I came out and saw that Jess wasn’t at the end of the bridge. Her mum has suffered a really bad stroke and had to have brain surgery.” She mentioned that both she and Glynne have been at the hospital daily, demonstrating the emotional toll during this challenging time.

Reflecting on her decision to partake in the show, Scott acknowledged the difficult circumstances but emphasized that Glynne supported her participation despite the family crisis. “It was a tough decision to come into the jungle, but then Jess never wanted me to step away from not doing it,” she explained.
