Jade Cargill Campaigns for Marvel’s Storm Role in X-Men

Jade Cargill is actively pursuing the chance to portray the beloved X-Men character Storm in an upcoming Marvel project. As the reigning WWE Women’s Champion, Cargill has drawn comparisons to Storm throughout her wrestling career.

Jade Cargill’s Aspiration for Marvel’s Storm

During a recent interview with Going Ringside, Cargill shared her desire to take on the Storm role. She stated, “I’ve had my people talk to a certain amount of people [from Marvel].” Cargill expressed her passion for the character, emphasizing her long-standing dream. “I’m hoping that things do transpire and they do see that this is something that I’ve always been passionate about my entire life. Let’s keep our fingers crossed, guys, and let’s keep pushing.”

Connection Between Cargill and Storm

Fans have often associated Cargill with Storm, highlighted by her WWE entrance music, “A Storm Is Coming.” The association further showcases her suitability for the role. “Of course [I want to play] Storm. We don’t have to use any of the CGI. This is how I look. It’s like, what do we need? What do we need, guys? Of course,” she added.

Previous Portrayals of Storm

Storm has previously been portrayed by Halle Berry and Alexandra Shipp in the X-Men film series. Berry’s portrayal spanned from the original 2000 film until 2014’s X-Men: Days of Future Past. Shipp last played Storm in the 2019 film Dark Phoenix. Cargill’s enthusiasm for the role adds a new dimension to the ongoing legacy of this iconic character.
