METAL CHURCH Enlists MEGADETH, VICIOUS RUMORS, ALICE COOPER Talent for New Lineup

Metal Church is making a significant comeback with an impressive new lineup. Founded by guitarist Kurdt Vanderhoof, the refreshed group includes guitarist Rick Van Zandt, former Megadeth bassist David Ellefson, drummer Ken Mary, and Vicious Rumors vocalist Brian Allen.

New Music and Album Release

The band is currently streaming their first single, “F.A.F.O.” This track was produced by Vanderhoof and features mixing and mastering by Chris “Zeuss” Harris at Planet Z Studios. The recording sessions for “F.A.F.O.” have laid the groundwork for a brand-new Metal Church album, scheduled for release in 2026 through Rat Pak Records.

Excitement Over New Single

Vanderhoof expressed his excitement about the upcoming music, stating, “After 45 years, the fact that we have new music coming in 2025 feels like a miracle.” He further noted, “This lineup is firing on all cylinders, and I’m thrilled to share a new aggressive track with our fans.” He believes fans will appreciate the energy of “F.A.F.O.” which he describes as a true representation of Metal Church.

Tour Plans and Festival Appearances

Metal Church has announced plans for an extensive tour in 2026. They have already confirmed participation at several festivals, with more dates to be revealed soon:

  • August 5, 2026: Josefov, Czech Republic – Brutal Assault Festival
  • August 8, 2026: Kortrijk, Belgium – Alcatraz Festival
  • August 9, 2026: Geiselwind, Germany – Keep It True Festival

With much anticipation surrounding their return, Metal Church aims to captivate audiences with their new music and live performances in 2026.
