Peyz Poised to Join T1, Sources Reveal

Kim “Peyz” Su-hwan, a 19-year-old gaming prodigy, is reportedly set to join T1 in the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK). This development marks a significant shift within the organization as Peyz is expected to fill the shoes of Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong, a three-time World Champion.
Peyz’s Impressive Achievements
Peyz’s accomplishments at such a young age are astonishing. He is a three-time LCK champion and an MSI champion, having already achieved considerable success while playing for Gen.G at just 17 and 18 years old. His accolades include:
- 2023 LCK Rookie of the Year
- LCK Finals MVP in Spring 2023
- LCK Player of the Split in Summer 2024
- Twice named to the LCK 1st All-Pro Team in 2024
- Eleven career pentakills
- Youngest botlaner to win an LCK title
- Record holder for most kills in a single match at an international event with 28 kills in MSI 2024 Finals
The End of the Gumayusi Era
The transition to Peyz comes after T1’s longstanding relationship with Gumayusi came to a close. After winning their third consecutive World Championship, T1 bids farewell to a player who has defined a significant chapter in their history over the past seven years.
Gumayusi’s journey at T1 was not without challenges; he faced benching early in the season but rebounded to showcase his talent, earning MVP status during the World Championship finals against KT Rolster. With his departure, only three members of the iconic ZOFGK roster remain, which includes re-signings of players Mun “Oner” Hyeon-jun, Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, and Ryu “Keria” Min-seok.
Peyz’s Recent Challenges
Peyz’s 2025 season experienced setbacks after a difficult offseason led him to join JD Gaming in the LPL. Despite a promising start that saw JDG finishing third, inconsistency plagued the season. The team struggled with multiple support and toplaner rotations and coaching changes, ultimately ending the Spring Split in the lower standings.
A New Exciting Duo
Peyz will now pair with Keria in the T1 botlane. Their partnership is highly anticipated as both players are known for their aggressive and creative play styles. Many believe this duo has the potential to become the best botlane globally.
As Peyz prepares to embrace his new role at T1, the League of Legends community eagerly awaits what promises to be an exciting season ahead.
