In honor of the United States Armed Forces, SDSU has made a heartfelt gesture by providing nearly 3,000 free tickets to local military personnel, thanks to generous donations.
River Block Party
The River Block Party, sponsored by Snapdragon, will kick off at 2:30 p.m., featuring:
- A Kids Zone with a prize wheel and temporary tattoos
- Food and beverage options available
- Big screen TVs showing other college football games
- Live music starting at 4:30 p.m.
The festivities will continue until 7:00 p.m., creating an exciting atmosphere for fans leading up to the game.
Special Events and Activities
For SDSU students, complimentary “Danger Zone” shirts will be handed out to the first 1,000 students who enter through the North gate. Additionally, the Warrior Walk will commence at 5:15 p.m., allowing fans to show support as the team arrives at Snapdragon Stadium.
Fans will have the chance to interact with the San Diego State spirit squads, including cheerleaders, the dance team, and the band, creating a lively pre-game experience.
Halftime Entertainment
This Saturday’s halftime show will feature an aerial drone display presented by Sky Elements. As the largest drone light show provider in the U.S., Sky Elements has collaborated with well-known organizations such as Major League Baseball, Disney Studios, and the Seattle Seahawks. This innovative show presents a unique and eco-friendly alternative to traditional fireworks.
Honor Warrior Recognition
San Diego State also honors Chad Woolsey as this week’s Honor Warrior. A two-time letter winner, Woolsey contributed to a 10-win season in 2017 and participated in multiple bowl games. Over his career, he appeared in 27 games, making five starts and contributing as a fullback.
