- HC Sparta Praha: One of the most renowned hockey clubs in the Czech Republic, Sparta Prague will compete for the 11th time in the Spengler Cup.
- HC Fribourg-Gottéron: The previous winners of the Spengler Cup are eager to defend their title. Coach Roger Rönnberg, a prominent figure in hockey, returns for this tournament.
