As cold weather sweeps across the Bay Area, several counties are activating cold weather shelters to assist residents. A Freeze Warning is currently in effect, indicating significant temperature drops overnight. Residents can expect lows ranging from the upper 20s to low 30s in some areas.

- Public Support: Donations are being accepted for food, clothing, and financial contributions via TalbotHouse.org.

- Shelter Duration: Seven free nights for residents, three nights for non-residents (ID required)
- Fees: $15 per night after initial free nights
- Transportation: Provided by MCAT from designated locations starting at 5 p.m.
During this period of extreme cold, these shelters offer a much-needed refuge for those without adequate heating. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of these services as conditions may worsen.
