Disney+ Reveals New Marvel Avengers Villains

Disney+ has unveiled exciting new villains connected to the Avengers, expanding the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) significantly. As the platform gears up for the upcoming film “Avengers: Doomsday,” it has been instrumental in crafting stories for audiences of all ages through original series and animations.

New Villains in Disney+ Projects

The recent special, “Marvel’s Spidey and Iron Man: Avengers Team-Up!” highlights these new adversaries in a playful, kid-friendly format. In this crossover, beloved heroes such as Spidey and Iron Man join forces to combat notorious villains Green Goblin and Ultron.

Although unconventional, the pairing of these foes—one a nemesis from Spidey’s world and the other a classic Avengers villain—creates a unique dynamic within the narrative. This special not only represents the first collaboration between two Disney Jr. Marvel series but also aligns with Marvel’s tradition of introducing younger audiences to its expansive universe.

Upcoming Villains in Marvel Projects

As Marvel continues to develop its cinematic universe, several notable villains are set to appear in future projects:

  • Scorpion: Returning in “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” slated for release on July 31, 2026. Michael Mando reprises his role, presenting a significant challenge for Peter Parker.
  • Tombstone: Portrayed by Marvin Jones III, this gangster will make his live-action debut in the same Spider-Man film, noted for his physical prowess against superpowered heroes.
  • The Punisher: Jon Bernthal returns as Frank Castle in “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” alongside a potentially new female ally. His presence promises to add depth to the storyline.
  • The Hulk: Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner returns, with rumors suggesting the appearance of a more formidable Savage Hulk.
  • Doctor Doom: Expected to challenge the Avengers in “Avengers: Doomsday,” this new portrayal of Victor von Doom combines advanced science and magic.
  • Paladin: Introduced in the “Vision Quest” series, this villain will pursue the revived Vision, marking a first in the MCU.
  • Jocasta: Another villain for Vision, portrayed by T’Nia Miller, originally linked to Ultron in the comics.
  • Venom: Set to debut in “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2,” although this interpretation takes place in an alternate universe.
  • Chameleon: One of the elusive villains returning in “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2,” confirmed in promotional materials.
  • Doctor Octopus: Voiced by Hugh Dancy, he is expected to take a central role in the same animated series.
  • Social Media Threat: In “LEGO Marvel Avengers: Strange Tails,” the Avengers confront an influencer culture menace, launching on November 14, 2025.

These upcoming projects illustrate Disney+’s strategy of intertwining animated series with the broader Marvel narrative, allowing a new generation to engage with iconic characters and stories. As the MCU evolves, fans can look forward to a dynamic array of villains challenging Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
