Three Huskers Reach AVCA Player of the Year Semifinals

The Nebraska volleyball program has made a significant mark this season, securing three spots among the AVCA Player of the Year Semifinalists. Announced on Friday, Andi Jackson, Harper Murray, and Bergen Reilly represent the Huskers in this elite group of athletes. A total of 14 players are still in the running for the prestigious award.

Player Profiles
Andi Jackson
Andi Jackson, a junior middle blocker, leads the Big Ten with an impressive hitting percentage of .438. Averaging 2.56 kills and 1.17 blocks per set, she has shown marked improvement in recent matches. Specifically, during Big Ten play, her performance has escalated to 2.71 kills per set with a remarkable hitting percentage of .553. Historically, Jackson’s career hitting percentage of .425 is the best in both the Nebraska program and among active Division I players.
Harper Murray
Junior outside hitter Harper Murray is enjoying a stellar season. She tops her team with an average of 3.62 kills per set while maintaining a hitting percentage of .310. In addition to her offensive prowess, she averages 2.21 digs per set and has recorded a team-leading 22 service aces. With 1,059 career kills, she ranks tied for 23rd in school history alongside Cathy Noth and is also ranked seventh in career aces.
Bergen Reilly
Bergen Reilly, a junior setter, orchestrates the Husker offense with an average of 10.06 assists per set. She also contributes significantly on defense, with a team-high average of 2.62 digs per set. Under her guidance, the Nebraska offense has reached a school-record pace with a .344 hitting percentage, ranking first nationally. Reilly is fourth in career assists in the rally scoring era with 3,318, needing just 15 more to surpass Sydney Anderson for third place.
