The interstellar object known as 3I/ATLAS has captured the attention of scientists and alien enthusiasts alike. Recent observations show it emitting seven glowing jets as it approaches the Sun.

On November 8, 2025, at 4:10 Universal Time (UT), astrophysicists observed 3I/ATLAS at a distance of 29 degrees from the Sun. The event was marked by a pronounced glowing halo, extending up to 500,000 kilometers from the object.

Details of the Jet Structure

The complex jet structure of 3I/ATLAS is unprecedented. Stacked images captured through various filters revealed at least seven distinct jets, some identified as anti-tails directed towards the Sun. These images comprised 24 exposures in a green filter, each lasting 35 seconds, supplemented by two exposures in both red and blue filters.
