Buffalo Bills Nearing Trade for WR and DE Before Deadline

As the NFL trade deadline approaches, the Buffalo Bills are actively pursuing key players to enhance their roster. Reports indicate the team is interested in acquiring Washington Commanders wide receiver Deebo Samuel and veteran defensive end Von Miller.
Buffalo Bills Trade Pursuit
According to Tim Graham from The Athletic, the Bills are eyeing both Samuel and Miller, aiming to strengthen positions that have been challenging this season.
Player Profiles
- Deebo Samuel – A versatile inside slot receiver, Samuel has logged 42 receptions for 367 yards and three touchdowns in his first year with the Commanders. At 29 years old, he could provide a much-needed boost to the Bills’ receiving corps.
- Von Miller – The 36-year-old defensive end is familiar to Bills fans from his previous tenure with the team (2022-2024). During that period, he recorded 14 sacks and 23 quarterback hits. Currently, Miller has accumulated 11 tackles, four sacks, and seven quarterback hits in the 2025 season after joining the Commanders in free agency.
Buffalo Bills’ Needs
The Bills have faced challenges in their wide receiver production this season. Adding Samuel could energize the offense, while Miller would reinforce their defensive line. Although Samuel’s skills overlap with some current players, his experience would deepen the team’s overall quality.
Upcoming Trade Deadline
The NFL trade deadline is set for Tuesday at 4 p.m. As the deadline approaches, the Bills’ intentions to strengthen their roster may push them to finalize trades quickly. Fans eagerly await announcements regarding potential transactions.
