  • Durham
  • Fuquay-Varina
  • Garner
  • Holly Springs
  • Knightdale

  • Zebulon

Voters should check their sample ballot and find their designated polling location using the NCSBE Voter Search tool.

Important Information for Voters

Olivia McCall, the Wake County Elections Director, emphasizes the importance of verifying voter registration status. “Make sure you check your voter registration to find out if you’re eligible,” she said. Not all registered voters will receive a ballot for this election.

Eligible voters can expect to see various contests on their ballots, including positions for mayor and town or city council seats. This year marks a significant change for the Town of Cary, which has shifted its municipal election to November and will now utilize the nonpartisan plurality method for elections.

Absentee Ballot Information

Voters who requested an absentee ballot must deliver it to the Board of Elections Operations Center by 7:30 p.m. on November 4. Note that absentee ballots cannot be returned at polling places. Simply having a postmark does not ensure timely delivery after the deadline.

All voters in line by 7:30 p.m. will be allowed to cast their vote. Poll closing procedures will begin once all voters have been served, ensuring the process is transparent.

Election Results
