Pattinson Embraces Role in “Dune Messiah”

Robert Pattinson is set to take on a challenging role in the upcoming film “Dune Messiah,” directed by Denis Villeneuve. This sequel, filmed across various locations including Budapest and Jordan, continues the epic saga of Frank Herbert’s Dune universe. Pattinson will portray Scytale, a unique character known as a Tleilaxu Face Dancer, who possesses the extraordinary ability to mimic any human being.

“Dune Messiah” unfolds events twelve years after the conclusion of the first film, “Dune.” The story revolves around Paul Atreides, played by Timothée Chalamet, who now rules as Emperor. He is married to Princess Irulan, portrayed by Florence Pugh, and is maintaining a complex relationship with his concubine, Chani, played by Zendaya. As Paul’s power grows, various forces conspire against him.

Pattinson’s Experience on Set
During promotional activities for his current film “Die My Love” directed by Lynne Ramsay, Pattinson shared insights into his experience filming “Dune Messiah.” He described the grueling desert conditions as both exhausting and oddly refreshing, noting, “It was so hot in the desert that I just couldn’t question anything.” He found himself in a state of relaxation, allowing himself to embrace Villeneuve’s direction without hesitation.
Release Date
“Dune Messiah” is scheduled to be released in cinemas on December 18th. Following this, Pattinson will begin filming for “The Batman: Part II” early next year, continuing his active presence in major film projects.
