Study Reveals Allegiant Stadium Leads in Vehicle Crime on NFL Game Days

A recent study by Wheelsaway has highlighted vehicle crime concerns surrounding Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Located in Paradise, Nevada, this area was recognized as the most dangerous for parking on NFL game days.

Vehicle Crimes in Paradise, Nevada

During the last NFL season, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reported a staggering 8,482 vehicle crimes. This figure translates to approximately 444 incidents for every 10,000 residents in the vicinity.

Types of Vehicle Crimes

  • Motor vehicle thefts: 4,595
  • Thefts from vehicles: 3,414
  • Thefts of vehicle parts or accessories: 473

Comparison with Other NFL Cities

In comparison, Houston, where the Texans’ NRG Stadium is located, reported the highest total of vehicle crimes. The city recorded 23,939 incidents, averaging 100 crimes per 10,000 residents. Despite this high number, it reflects Houston’s larger population.

On the other hand, Foxborough, Massachusetts, home to the New England Patriots, is considered the safest parking option. The area witnessed only eight vehicle crimes, leading to a low rate of four per 10,000 residents. Additionally, other NFL venues such as the Buffalo Bills’ Highmark Stadium and the New York Jets’ MetLife Stadium also reported minimal vehicle crime rates.

Safety Recommendations for Vehicle Owners

A spokesperson from Wheelsaway emphasizes the importance of vehicle security on game days. Here are key recommendations to avoid theft:

  • Park in secure, well-lit areas.
  • Use steering wheel locks.
  • Install GPS trackers for added security.

With these precautions, vehicle owners can minimize risks during NFL events at Allegiant Stadium and other venues.
